Joy, who’s now considered the oldest person to travel all the national parks of the USA, was never alone. She was always accompanied by her loving grandson, Brad. He expressed that this adventure was the greatest privilege of his life. Their tour began at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee, and they finished all the way up to the South Pacific to reach American Samoa. Grandma Joy and Brad have also documented all of their epic adventures on their Instagram account @grandmajoysroadtrip. The elderly lady is relaying the message all around the world that age is, in fact, just a number, and that you can push yourself to do what you love with just a bit of inspiration.

For their last stop, the duo departed from their hometown of Duncan Falls, Ohio, and after three flights and almost 17 hours, touched down at the last stop of their beautiful expedition. American Samoa is a vast park spread across the space of seven villages. The duo enjoyed the mesmerizing views of the place and experienced its wildlife from within. According to Brad and his grandma, their park expedition might have come to an end, but their travels will go on. They are now planning to visit all seven continents of the world.
