A lot of Mandalorian fans consider the show as the “Baby Yoda Show” and would be happy to see Baby Yoda’s quest to eat every endangered fish egg in the galaxy. However, season two is here, and it seems like the show will actually focus on other characters in the Star Wars universe. FYI, a lot of them are not even cute…
The “New” Mandalorian Characters
Fans of the Star Wars novels were in for a treat when the original story of Cobb Vanth was portrayed on screen for the first time in the first Mandalorian episode from season two. This is the first inclusion of a character from the page that has been worked into a live-action project.
Boba Fett is a better-known character that is also returning to The Mandalorian, and what’s interesting about him is that it will be played by Temuera Morrison – the same actor who played Jango Fett (Boba’s father) in the prequel trilogy.
Peli Motto is another familiar character (from the first season), but it will be making a comeback in season two. As expected, Amy Sedaris is returning for her role, and her character has become an unexpected ally on Tatooine.
2 More Rumored Characters Are Expected
Katee Sackhoff, who voiced Bo-Katan Kryze in Star Wars: The Clone Wars & Star Wars: Rebels is rumored to take part in the second season of the Mandalorian. It’s not confirmed that she would play Bo-Katan but it’s hard to see her in a different role with her history with the character.
Ashoka Tano played by Rosario Dawson is another rumor that won’t be confirmed until she appears on-screen. However, this is a long-expected live-action debut, and according to some detective work from the Reddit user u/Plain_Tortillas, fans will definitely see her in season two.
